Boland Cellar, a well-known and established wine cellar, has the
above-mentioned exciting opportunity available in the Gauteng Region.
The successful candidate will be the face and voice of the Boland Cellar brand.

The job incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• establish and maintain business relationships with local trade community and vendors in conjunction with the distributor
• manage and maintain key accounts records
• in-store promotions and tastings
• monitor point of sale material
• track customer preferences / feedback, metrics and media campaigns
• negotiate shelf space, promotions and visibility of products
• represent the brand at events, launches and trade shows
• conduct wine tastings
• train retail personnel on product’s features, customer service and merchandizing standards
• report to the National Sales Manager

Requirements for the ideal candidate:

• a relevant marketing & sales or equivalent qualification
• minimum two years’ experience in a sales & marketing environment (experience as brand ambassador or similar role recommended)
• good knowledge of the South African wine industry and buyer environment
• excellent interpersonal, networking and negotiating skills
• excellent communication skills (English & Afrikaans)
• computer literacy (MS Office)
• problem-solving and analytical skills
• excellent planning & organisational skills
• ability to travel locally
