Brand Financial Analyst - Sandton

A successful candidate will lead the financial analysis of brands. The person is the finance representative on the business team and is responsible to drive: Sound financial decisions to improve business results, act as steward to leverage and enable internal control capability and develop financial understanding within the business team.Responsibilities: Lead initiative analysis, initiative tracking and update for the brands you are responsible for. Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, fixes and document via approved Standard Operating Procedures. Update forecast assumptions with Brand Profit Estimate and highlight risks and opportunities as well as key drivers behind change in forecast. Review monthly actuals and forecast to (a) identify drivers behind change versus forecast, (b) follow through corrective action & gap closing (c) update forecast based on actual and implication on forecasted months and (d) explain to business team changes. Conduct training to business team on related financial concepts. Raise opportunities within team to drive further efficiencies or improvement in business results (e.g. pricing opportunities, Marketing Support Activity Return On Investment, competitive analysis) and follow through. Qualifications Minimum education of BA or BS with majors in Finance or equivalent Excellent communication skills Ability to integrate data, facts and intuition to resolve various employee relations/people development issues Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with diverse people Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
