BRAND MANAGER (Catering ind) – West Rand, Jhb

JOB SPECIFICATION:
• Develop solutions & strategies re: growing and maximizing the brands profits and share in the market while ensuring customers are satisfied.
• Customer relationship management, sales and account management, product knowledge assistance, problem solving and solutions to the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Brand building, liaising with agencies, production of in-house promotional materials & publications, preparing press releases & organizing promotional activities
• Achieve sales targets & the planned increase of market share - via excellent customer service, appropriate sales and marketing activities & effective stock management
• Develop new accounts, maintain current accounts & expand the brand database of customers
• Manage sales, margins, inventory levels & purchasing to maximize profitability within the Brand
• Attend meetings, conferences, trainings and seminars - when needed.
• Liaise with the Sales and Merchandise Director (re: goals and objectives)
• Promotion and sales of products & solutions - national & international (where required) level - across all market segments
• Maintain & grow - the dealer network & the end user network - targeted by the products, services & solutions
• Set up & deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations & other sales solutions to customers and decision takers
• Liaise with existing & potential dealers and end users
• Investigate & troubleshoot customer service/product issues
• Communicate brand identity & corporate position - to target markets
• Knowledge of competitor’s products, services & solutions - for comparison
• Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly sales data & reports
• Develop reports for evaluating the profitability of products
• Develop a monthly promotional calendar to enhance sales & profits (with the Sales and Merchandise Director’s approval)
• Conduct dealer visits to monitor product performance & make recommendations
• Build & maintain end user relationships. Develop action plans to improve Brand demand & sales within the end user market.
• Forecasts - to ensure proper inventories are maintained in the warehouse

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
• Grade 12
• Relevant qualifications / or experience
• Experience in building & developing brands – A MUST
• Excellent understanding of market and customer
• Driver’s license
• Able to travel regularly (nationally / internationally)
• Technical Product Knowledge (highly desirable)
• 5 – 7 years exp - similar capacity / similar industries
• 3 – 5 years exp - Strategic Leadership (short & long-term brand growth & profitability)
• Min 5 years exp - Business processes & functions
