Brand & Business Development Manager

We are urgently recruiting for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our clients team and drive their brands forward. Our Client is a leading ICT and Security/Life Safety company known for their excellent culture.

As the brand custodian, you will be responsible for creating and executing brand strategies within the product portfolio and marketing function consistent with overall business objectives. This will entail growing the account base and developing strategies to drive the availability, visibility, engagement and sales in the defined account base. Additionally, you will also be responsible for understanding and monitoring competitive activity and identifying customer needs.

Key responsibilities will also include:
• Effectively managing a comprehensive brand management team
• Actively networking and building strong collaboration relationships with current and prospective clients in South Africa.
• Leading the growth, development and training of your team.
• Business Strategy Development and Execution
• Liaising with vendor and industry to understand product and market trends and amend plans accordingly to ensure efficient product life cycle management and maximize opportunities
• Working with partners to drive marketing initiatives on behalf of the vendor, these initiatives may include Marketing initiatives, Tele-campaigns, promotion of vendor events etc

Desired Skills & Experience
• Appropriate tertiary marketing qualification – degree / diploma.
• Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Power-point, MS Project
• Professional experience & know how : 4-5 years brand marketing experience working within the security experience within a distribution environment
• Product knowledge of security and life safety products, especially, Access Control and/or Fire and/or CCTV.
• An understanding of networking and intrusion technology will be advantageous
• Strong leadership and communications skills.
• Experience working in partnership with Sales required.
• Knowledge of forecasting and planning, budgeting, promotional coordination, product development, pricing, trade marketing
• Dynamic and decisive, highly collaborative, with ability to work within multiple cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver results
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience presenting recommendations to executives on a routine basis
• Adaptable to a fast-paced, high-growth, changing environment with a positive, change agent mentality.
• Must have own vehicle and drivers licence

o Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Midrand
o Travel: 25% - 35%
