REQUIREMENTS:
Marketing degree or diploma essential.
Experience in the following fields would be advantageous: 3 – 5 years in a brand management role or Beauty industry or FMCG experience advantageous

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Activities:
• Assist Marketing Manager with the creation of the relevant strategy and Marketing programme.
• Manage Brand image through merchandising guidelines and presentation of the Brands in all corporate and consumer environments, including promotional collateral.
• Assist Marketing Manager with the creation of the Retailer Strategy promotions
• Assist Marketing Manager with the final Retailer Strategy Presentations.
• Compile international Marketing Report Presentations after major launches or Pillar Focus campaigns
• Attend Retailer Strategy Meetings with the Marketing Manager
• In the event of any cancellations or changes of Programme / line ups, advise the Marketing Assistant to update Retailer Grids and Schedule.
• Assist Marketing Manager with quarterly budget presentations and Budget Retrend.
• Continuously seek opportunities to achieve the Marketing Strategy & sales targets set for the year • Identify brand weaknesses and find solutions with the Marketing Manager and then communicate action plans with relevant departments

Launches & Promotions:
• Work with the Marketing Manager in evaluating the Marketing programme as set by head office (international) and consolidate information into a launch and promotional programme for South Africa.
• Create the retailer allocations for launches and Promotions based on the international Marketing files sent and/or what South Africa can put together for the retailers
• Manage and enforce the timelines associated with the ordering process (Export, Supply Chain etc)
• Work in conjunction with the Marketing Manager to communicate with Supply Chain regarding the tracking of launches and promotional items from head office
• Consider the various retailer support activities provided and identify suitable opportunities, based on relevance and budget, for approval by Marketing Manager
• Compile Sell-In books for all launches and promotions
• Work with Key Accounts to obtain final confirmed sell-in units for Promotions & Launches
• Create detailed processes / timelines to ensure the smooth running of launches & promotions
• Analyse launches & promotions and where possible conceptualize local tactical promotions to increase effectiveness, for approval by Marketing Manager.
• In conjunction with the Marketing Manager, plan & conceptualize the visual direction of POP & POS • Ensure that all POP & POS is within the international Guidelines and Brand Image
• Devise a strategy & actions Plan to utilize left over items

Pricing:
• Ensure that there is a continuous analysis of Competitor Pricing (advise Marketing Manager on price increases that Competitors may have had) Vs our pricing
• Work closely with the Marketing Assistant with regards to updating competitor prices and communicating with the relevant departments

Trade Visits:
• Monthly trade visits in local region to assess launches and competitor activities
• Trade photos to be taken for international reports and competitor analysis
• Compile a detailed Contact report within 48hours after trade visits
• Analyse brand Launches in trade
• Analyse competitors in the trade

COOP:
• Negotiate and secure retailer support considering budget constraints.
• Seek added opportunity for support with retailers for launches and promotional offers
• Submit artwork and information to Marketing Manager for approval
• Ensure that Key Accounts and Area Managers communicate with the Retailers to have stock for in-store events.

Stock Management:
• Liaise with Supply Chain on forecasts for promotional/launch and department orders and ensure no overstocks.
• Attend monthly Demand Review with Sales Department and Supply Chain
• Request regular communications from Supply Chain to update on expected delivery dates for launches & promotions.
• Discuss discontinuations with Marketing Manager and Supply Chain. Implement strategy to utilize static / overstocks / under stocks and left-over POP

Budget:
• Work closely with Marketing Manager to ensure that there is no over-expenditure.
• Create costing sheets for launches and promotions, manage these and share relevant sheets with other departments.
• Assist Marketing Manager with annual P&L creation
• Update free goods budget management sheet, keep within the allocated budget

Conference / Road Show:
• Compile marketing presentations with the Marketing Assistant & Marketing Manager
• Assist Marketing Assistant with the printing & binding of hard copies for conference
• Assist with the setting-up at conference
• In conjunction with the Marketing Manager present at Conference & Road Show

AD HOC:
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
