Brand Marketing and Sales Executive Johannesburg, Gauteng Depending on skills and experience Permanent Closing date: 10th March 2017

Our client is looking for a Brand Marketing and Sales Executive in Johannesburg, Gauteng

 

BRAND

•             Work with the executive management to develop a Brand documented strategy in line with stated business objectives.

•             Grows brand value through the development, implementation and management of a brand strategy, taking into consideration competitor brand landscape; longer term goals; potential business changes. 

•             Achieves internal alignment with brand strategy and realisation of brand values within the business.

•             Achieves brand growth through continuous analysis of the market, opportunities and adjustments to the strategy to deliver continued improvement to results and balance sheet value of the brand.

 

MARKETING

•             Work with the executive management to develop a documented marketing strategy in line with stated business objectives.

•             To preform environmental scanning and keep the executive informed with regards to both local and international competitor activity

•             Achieves marketing and sales objectives through the development, implementation and management of a marketing plan in line with the agreed marketing strategy.

•             Identifies marketing opportunities by understanding customer requirements; defining market, competitor market share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; establishing targeted market share.

•             Identify new business opportunities through new markets, products or innovation.

•             Achieves marketing operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; review of strategies and effective control of marketing results; taking corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets; preparing and completing action plans; defining customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements, and implementing change to drive outcome improvements.

•             Accomplishes marketing objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, communication, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.

•             Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.

•             Drives market insight through management of research projects and evaluation of market research to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

•             To work with the executive management to develop an annual pricing policy. This may include pricing policy per customer

 

SALES

•             Work with the executive management to develop a documented sales strategy in line with stated business objectives and marketing strategy.

•             Achieves sales targets through the development, implementation and management of the complete sales process.

•             Meets all sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

•             Supports the determination of annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analysing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.

•             Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.

•             Ensure effective management of the sales team, through target setting and daily sales tracking

 

OVERALL

•             Accomplishes marketing and sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

•             Effective briefing and management of out-sourced resources (Marketing/Advertising Agency and the like).

•             Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends.

•             Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

Ideal skills, qualifications & experience: Proven Brand, Marketing and sales experience, Financial Planning and Strategy, Marketing Concepts, Positioning, People Management, Territory Management, Sales Planning, Competitive Analysis, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Client Relationships, Degree (Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing).
