Brand Marketing Manager

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Brand Marketing Manager to join this renowned high-growth Group of Companies. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing marketing, advertising and promotional activities that derive a high return on investment as well asattracting new customers and ensuring that the existing customer bases are maximized.

Skills Required:
• A relevant marketing qualification – equivalent of an IMM or Marketing Degree.
• At least 5 years’ experience within a marketing and advertising environment.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to conceptualise small projects and see how they fit into the greater brand/strategy.
• Previous work experience within the Retail and/or luxury goods industry will be advantageous.
• Good communication skills - verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to solve marketing challenges.

Responsibilities:

Brand:
• Plan, implement and manage brand communication strategies using above the line media, below the line mediums and activations.
• Ensure brand positioning, brand architecture and corporate identities are aligned and consistent.
• Play a custodianship role for all 3 brands corporate identities and ensure brand application consistency across all mediums and touch points.
• Develop and manage below-the-line/promotional, above-the-line and in-store collateral elements.
• Build and manage relationships with agencies and ensure information is provided to them.
• Identify sponsorship opportunities and manage the implementation of the opportunities selected.
• Monitor brand awareness and liking and provide annual reports of a brand audit.

Media
• Plan, book and provide material for media campaigns.
• Keep up to date with new media platforms.
• Negotiate rates with media owners.
• Reconcile and process media payments by following company processes and procedures.
• Ensure flighting occurs as intended and provide proof of flighting reports.
• Use the CRM system and other metrics to measure campaigns delivered as a report provided to Head of Marketing.

PR
• Monitor media daily.
• Manage PR agency relationship and deliverables.
• Co-ordinate media interviews and special interest stories.
• Develop and co-ordinate media packs and releases.

Product
• Manage product design and packaging development through the agency.
• Research and develop product information packs.
• Provide input and guidance to the product team on pricing and product desirability of existing and potential customers


General
• Compile, manage and be accountable for budget for brand, promotions and PR communication across all 3 businesses.
• Manage brand and PR communication expenditure.
• Provide accurate, timeous expenditure reconciliation on a monthly basis.
• Keep up to date and detailed status reports available on the server.
• Keep stakeholders informed on brand exposure, opportunities and results.
• Provide accurately and timely briefs to creative agencies.
• Manage agency relationships and standard of output.
• Managing and optimizing integrations between CRM and other platforms.
• Working closely with Database Administrators to ensure data integrity and optimization
• Working closely with the IT department to ensure development, test and production environments are running optimally.
• Developing and testing new solutions and program changes.
• Providing ad-hoc support.

Supplier and Stakeholder Management
• Build good working relationships with stakeholders such as the marketing team, General Managers, sale and specialist teams, stores, printers and agencies.

Research and Innovation
• Continually researches and stays up to date with best practice in marketing strategy and brand planning.
