Broker Consultant – Medical Insurance – R30 to R35000.00 plus performance bonus and travel – Cape Town

We have a new and exciting vacancy for an experienced medical insurance broker consultant to join this progressive and forward thinking company in the Western Cape. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a competitive environment and have a true passion for the industry. A lot of future growth potential within this organization.

The Scope of responsibility is:
• Develop and maintain broker relationships ,Support both independent and corporate brokers, Facilitate business partnerships between brokers and the company
• Technical training and ongoing product support to brokers and intermediaries
• Deal with queries and provide information on products and services
• Receive quotation requests from brokers
• Actively promote company products to ensure increase in membership
• Review new business pipeline, follow-up and track it, ensure that clear information is given to clients at all times and that there are no unreasonable post–sales barriers faced by clients
• Liaise with internal departments on processing requests
• Build relationships with internal departments to ensure superior service is offered to clients
• Keep up-to-date with competitor product and service offering as well as industry developments
• Ensure that customers' queries/disputes are resolved in an efficient and effective manner
• Ensure smooth administration of new and current membership, i.e. capture onto the system, effect changes, load debit order files etc
• Independently oversee all operations at the Port Elizabeth Branch

Skills experience and qualifications required:
• Matric/Grade 12 or NQF 4 qualification ,Commercial qualification an added advantage
RE Representative (RE5), FAIS compliant (Meet Fit and Proper Requirements for a Representative)
• A minimum of at least 5 years work experience in a similar environment (Financial Services/Health Industry )
• Excellent oral and written communication skills , results driven and energetic
• Strong work standard and a passion for building relationships
• Comfortable working in a competitive environment and have a true passion for the industry
• Competitor intelligence, Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Computer literate - Knowledge of MS Office packages (Excel, Power Point & MS Word)
• Driver’s License and clear criminal record
