Salary: R280 – R335 000 p/a
(60% fix remuneration (13th cheque, travel allowance, pension fund and medical aid) and 40% commission depending on your performance) per annum

One of the largest medical schemes in South Africa, has changed its business model from being self-administered to separating the administration services from the Scheme is currently looking for a dynamic and driven Broker Consultant in PE

Education, Training and Experience

• Grade 12
• Meet FAIS Fit and Proper requirements including an applicable, aligned qualification. Candidates must already have applicable credits.
• Three years’ applicable experience which includes extensive experience in the training of brokers and thorough sales experience in the medical scheme industry.
• A good understanding of sales and marketing principles.
• A sound knowledge of the broker business and broker contacts.
• A sound knowledge of the Medical Schemes Act.
• Must have a valid K53 driving licence.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Successful completion of a selection process according to criteria based on the candidate’s potential with regard to the following competencies:

• General knowledge
• Good memory and evaluation ability.
• Experience as an active broker will aslo be considered.

Key performance areas
• Ensure that member base grows with new business in accordance with set goals.
• Explore and develop new business opportunities.
• Expand the broker network by identifying broker networks, healthcare consultants and individual brokers to contract with company
• Give leads for new business to brokers.
• Handle enquiries from brokers about new and existing members.
• Present training sessions to prospective and existing brokers.
• Give presentations regularly to potential employer groups, if requested.
• Ensure constant liaison with and motivation of brokers in the portfolio.
• Plan and attend broker events/functions in order to strengthen existing relationships and establish new ones.
• Give feedback to the Sales Manager on sales statistics and other relevant information which impacts on sales.
• Liaise internally with other divisions in order to achieve goals.
• Keep statistics on brokers, employers and union representatives.
