Broker Consultants with medical industry experience required for company in medical insurance/ managed healthcare. (For new broker contracts; new member registrations both corporate or individual.)

This position reports to the Executive: Sales, Marketing & Distribution

Responsibilities:

Broker consultants are the brand ambassadors for the medical insurance company/ scheme at intermediary level.
They are responsible for growing the scheme as well as retaining current members.
Consultants have to deal with different clients, with different expectations and different service models
Broker consultants deal with new application processes on a daily basis, being individual or corporate.
They have to be able to relay complexities around underwriting professionally and accurate.
The broker consultants need to know the products and all rules, protocols linked to it.
An understanding of the risk profile of groups need to be understood.
Broker consultants must be able to make decisions in line with the regulatory environment, therefore have a sound knowledge of the medical scheme industry and the medical schemes Act
Broker consultants deal with new clients on executive level and have to execute professional presentations.

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
Ideally a tertiary business qualification as minimum requirement or equivalent experience
Postgraduate general business qualification would be a distinct advantage
Significant experience in marketing management role in an efficient, dynamic and highly competitive environment
2-4 years experience gained in the healthcare industry
Own transport and valid license
Bilingual: Afrikaans and English


Salary:
R 290k - R 320k ctc per annum (including benefits) depending on experience
Cost to company package, not commission based
