JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Implements and co-ordinates human resources management activities of a business unit to maximise the strategic use of human resources and maintains functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Responsible for the alignment of the HR strategy to the business strategic objectives and ensure active execution of thereof.
• Responsible for the coordination and implementation of various HR activities as derived from the HR Strategy
• Ensuring effective business partnering in order to identify issues/opportunities and the people implications
• Responsible for the implementation, management and monitoring of talent management
• Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of succession management and performance management processes
• Responsible for the implantation and management of remuneration and reward processes and benefits management
• Plays the role of change manager by the implementation of change initiatives
• Ensures the provision of an effective management of the workforce planning, recruitment and selection function
• Ensures effective coordination and facilitation of all IR processes
• Responsible for the implementation and measurement of the transformation strategy with a strong focus on the people elements
• Ensures the effective coordination of all BBBEE interim and final verification processes
• Ensures adherence to Statutory Skills Development, EE Compliance and Corporate Governance
• Responsible or the maintenance of the relevant HRIS (Absalom) and for analysing and interpreting people data which is used as input for business decisions

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Human Resources
• Relevant training courses and seminars in HR practices

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 8 years related work with 4 years senior management
• Manufacturing or related industry will be an advantage

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Broad knowledge and experience of HR policies in industrial relations, recruitment and selection, compensation, performance management, training and development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels within the organisation
• Meticulous, detailed and well organised and able to meet deadlines
• Has a high level of integrity and able to work with confidential and sensitive information
• Keeps abreast and up-to-date with HR trends and industry wide development
