A leading financial services provider in the South African entry-level market. It aims to understand the unique requirements of clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions that cover everyday needs, such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover and personal accident plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Document business requirements and functional specifications in conjunction with business
• Assess requests for new features and enhancements to systems
• Investigate system bugs and identify possible solutions to eliminate reoccurrence and identify fixes required
• Provide input for potential optimisation of solutions and or processes
• Provide input to the project BA’s in respect of current issues that need to be included/taken into account in project deliverables
• Maintain and comply with current processes established for Business Solutions
• Assess and prioritise logs for development (CUP and FAFA)
• Provide guidance in respect of testing
• Provide post implementation support to business
• Responsible for communication to business owners / Manco regarding the systems
• Prepare progress reports to manager

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Diploma/Degree or relevant business related tertiary qualification related to Business Analysis advantageous
• 2 years relevant experience as a business analyst or 5 years experience as operational specialist obtained in the financial services industry (Life assurance experience advantageous)
• Computer literacy – MS Office - well developed skills
• MS Visio, Access and SQL will be advantageous
• Knowledge of BABOK
• Knowledge of in-house systems (FAFA en Cup) will be advantageous
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in SDLC
