Senior Role

A dynamic Investment banking platform with a business focus on investment management, delivering products to intermediaries, institutional investors and private clients seeks a Business Analyst. The person will be part of carefully chosen team of specialists. The environment offers an opportunity to work on new products, introduction of new IT technologies, assimilation of old banking platforms to support the new environment, and integration of systems with the larger banking environment.

We are looking for astute business person with an ability to interact with various role players including vendors, marketing, finance, technical IT and new product teams. The person must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach and challenge business and IT role players.

Requirements:
• Must be able to provide examples of projects that you ran from inceptions to delivery, end to end and highlight initiatives and how you played a lead BA role throughout the whole lifecycle, not only at getting the BRS / FRS out and moving on
• Must be able to demonstrate and explain strategic importance of projects or initiatives. The search is focused on finding experts who worked on high-impact, business critical projects in financial services, insurance and preferably investment services
• Must be able to deal with stress, ambiguity, stakeholders who are vague on what they want and getting clarity on exact business requirements. With project managers you would deal with tough resistant or non-committal stakeholders
• Also highlight any ideas or processes implemented pro-actively to demonstrate innovation and problem solving

Qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management or equivalent
• 6 to 9 years of Business Analysis experience
• Data or Systems Analysis experience
• Experience using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
• Knowledge of all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing (integration, user, and performance), debugging, implementation, and support
• Process Engineering experience
• Must possess strong analytical, organizational and product management skills
• Exposure to structured methodologies e.g. RUP/UML/Waterfall
• Agile delivery methods
• Must have an understanding of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures
• Ability to interact on a professional level with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts is required
• Interface with vendor partners and design optimal solutions for integration with client
• Financial industry experience
• Consulting experience an advantage
• Banking, investment environment/background experience
