Business Analyst/Project Manager

Location: Sunninghill, JHB
Salary: Market Related

Requirements:
B.Com, B.Tech or BSc focused on Information Technology / Information Systems
Business analysis industry certification
ITIL Foundation certification
Project management industry certification
Agile (Scrum) Product Owner certification
6-7 years’ experience in business analysis and project administration
Experience in the use of software and process modelling methodologies and tools
Experience in the use of project management techniques and methodology
Experience in the financial services industry advantageous
Experience working in ITIL-focused IT organisations
Experience working with Scrum, and specifically as a Product Owner
Experience managing small teams
Thorough understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Proven experience with project management of multiple large-sized projects
Proven experience working in an Agile (Scrum) environment, ideally as a Product Owner and capable of mentoring other staff
Experience in end-to-end process and data modelling, including the identification of upstream and downstream impacts across functions


Duties:
Support the business unit relationship manager in achieving their targets for the financial year by assisting them directly with any activities required to ensure the operational performance of the team.
Perform quality reviews of business analyst outputs on projects
Assist the project sponsors with drafting business cases and presenting those to management
Ensure that the supporting product processes are optimised and updated according to change requirements
Liaise with the managers and project management office (PMO) on task progress and responsible for drafting and managing project plans where required
Review service reports provided from support desk (1st and 2nd line support teams), analysis of issues regarding service support, and resolution or escalation of those issues
Mentoring and coaching of staff
Assist with senior business analysis requirements as needed:
Requirements gathering, specification and implementation of changes to critical technology products and large new solution requirements
Runs Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and takes on the Product Owner role in Scrums
Identifies and models end-to-end business and system processes, including impacted stakeholders, across multiple systems and environments
Management of multiple medium to large-sized projects and junior/intermediate business analyst deliverables
Administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of critical technology products as required for 3rd line support
Ability to identify and manage downstream and upstream impacts of product changes
User management e.g. dealing with queries, report requests, user feedback
