PBT Group has a requirement for a Business Analyst within the Financial Sector.

* Business Requirement Gathering (solution or project or process):
- Business Process Analysis
- Feasibility and Needs Analysis
- Due Diligence and Gap Analysis
- Business Requirement Analysis & Documentation
- Functional Testing
- Testing co-ordination for UAT
- Ability to conduct JAD sessions internally and with external clients

* Consulting:
- Problem Resolution and Troubleshooting
- Provide support to business in implementing effective and efficient solutions
- Impact analysis in terms of processes
- Liaise with the IS for process / system changes

* Work with business unit managers to assist in delivering of existing and new projects.
* Interaction with administration clients to become a knowledge expert on their business.
* Liaison with project team members i.e. project managers, IS resources and developers.
* Become the owner of business rule or process changes in the business unit.
* Gain a good understanding of the solutions that service the specific domain.
* Gain a general understanding of the financial industry and relevant business sectors serviced.
* Gain a strong understanding of all business units and solutions.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum matric qualification essential
* Business Degree or Diploma (in related industry) advantageous
* Formal business analysis training advantageous

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Knowledge of the financial industry
* Experience with working in project teams
* Experience in working in an administration environment that is process oriented

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
* Knowledge of financial industry administration, including and understanding of finance, legal and compliance
* Knowledge of regulations and legislation governing products within the specific domain.
* Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the role of a business analyst.
* Knowledge of the financial industry.
* Knowledge of the Agile methodology advantageous
* Experience with software implementation projects.
* Experience with working in project teams.
* Experience with documentation of requirements (including gap analysis and feasibility studies)

SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to liaise with business, IS project team members and external clients
* JAD facilitation skills
* Good documentation skills
* Proficiency in MS Office
