PBT Group has a requirement for a Business Analyst within the Insurance
Industry. MUST have rewards / loyalty program experience.

The Analyst is
responsible for gathering and defining business requirements for new
applications and bridging the gap between business requirements and the
development team. The Analyst must understand the business requirements as well
as the technical environment and marry the two up. This entails interaction with
business and technical stakeholders and compilation of Functional Requirements
Specifications against which the development and architecture team is able to
deliver the solution. In addition the Analyst must be able to investigate and
understand the existing technology, constraints and solutions in place, down to
the ability to interrogate and model databases, and top level system
architecture. The ideal Analyst has a combination of a strong technical
background, software testing skills as well as business understanding,
elicitation and communication skills.

DUTIES:
- Facilitate
workshops/one-to-one meetings with stakeholders.
- Prepare and obtain approval
of Business Specification documentation.
- Gather and define business
requirements for new applications and changes to existing applications and
consulting to business on the optimal user experience i.e. design and layout

Identify and examine business needs and determine timely and effective solutions
to business functions and processes
- Liaise and communicate between business
and development teams
- Impact analysis to identify and understand risks
associated with a project as well as input to risk mitigation strategies

Participate in UAT and obtain sign off for UAT
- Participate in ad hoc
projects, e.g. process flows, conversions, systems releases
- Assistance to
business with preparation of business cases
- Support project delivery by
overseeing application’s development and system integration development and
enhancements
- Understand and Analyse systems in the environment, including
database and top level architecture understanding
- Produce Functional
Requirements Specifications
- Produce accurate mapping of “As is” and “To be”
processes
- Identify project risks and issues and ensure that they are
documented
- Produce User Acceptance Test Cases and Scenarios and assist with
SIT and QA testing
- Provide regular, continuous and accurate feedback to
project management team
- Participation in and sign-off of user acceptance
testing, pilot and production testing
- Adhere to set process standards

Co-work with the technical team to define and design solutions that meet
customer requirements
- Co-work with the project manager to drive delivery on
time, within budget, scope and quality
- Perform efficient and effective JAD
facilitation with relevant project stakeholders
- Build and maintain meaningful
relationships with stakeholders

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Must have rewards / loyalty program experience
- 3+
years Business / Systems Analysis experience
- Experience in Insurance industry
preferred
- A hands on technical background such as software development or
database development will be a strong advantage
- Business/Systems analysis
methods, practices and techniques
- Business process modelling and mapping

Formal methodology such as UML and BPMN will be a strong advantage

- General

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
