MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The business analyst will be responsible for assisting the business in areas of strategy development, strategic planning as well as monitoring business performance to support the execution of the Group’s overall business strategy.
To support strategic decision making by identifying key business, market and economic trends and to also produce insights around our competitors’ performance and our relative performance.
Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability.
Provide support to the business in terms of monitoring and evaluating pricing trends.
Collating, standardising, analysing and the interpretation of data sourced from various channels to identify key trends and translate these into meaningful and actionable insights.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Analytical university degree eg B Eng, BSc, Bcom
Strong intellect and an agile mind
Highly developed analytical skills and must display an above average numerical ability
Commercial acumen
Advanced computer literacy in MS Word, and Excel

TECHNICAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES The successful candidate will have:
Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
Analysis and interpretation of business and market data
Report writing
An understanding of the general economic environment is essential
Must be a self-starter, effective and self motivated
Ability to cope with a demanding work
Experience in financial management, modelling and analysis would be advantageous.
