A company based in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their team. Responsibilities: • Analyzes current projects along with user requests, acknowledges business environment and operational requirements. • Collects and analyzes user needs through targeted interviews and/or the hosting of functional workshops. • Takes part in defining and writing out the functional solution to be implemented, together with the development team, the UX consultant and the IS architect. • Takes part in defining methods for integrating the new solution into the existing information system and/or specifies the required changes. • Produces the general and detailed functional specifications (set of specs: business requirements, flows, business rules, data repository, etc.). • Ensures the given functional scope remains applicable, issues alerts if ever overruns are expected. • Specifies testing strategies and directs the functional acceptance phases and procedures. • Analyzes functional problems and abnormalities brought to his attention by the testing team; offers functional corrections. • Writes up the documentation (e.g. training support, user support, meeting/workshop minutes). • Trains or supports users in adapting to new business processes and applications. • Regularly informs the Project Manager of progress on his actions and provides reliable and regular reporting on his activity. • Focuses on customers' new needs when operating on-site. • Becomes a skilled consultant when interacting with clients, stays abreast of general business issues, shares his understanding of issues related to the ongoing transformation.
