Business Centre Leader (BCL) – Product Development

The main purpose of the role is to imbed best practice product development methods and processes and to drive the design and implementation of new products and business partnerships, whilst ensuring that these are aligned with the client’s strategic objectives.

To be considered, you must have a related commercial degree – Bcom degree or MBA preferable, plus 8 – 10 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Financial experience is highly advantageous

Duties:
• Mentor and develop product development team
• Drive innovation and idea generation from all levels within the organisation,
• Being closely aligned with the customer needs and customer experiences teams to identify potential products to enter new product funnel, and present justifications to Exco and Boards for a new product to enter funnel
• Create and embed best practice product development methods and processes
• Collaborate closely with new business Credit Risk BCL on product design, credit assessment, credit appetite and profitability, and new product operational BCL in order to optimise customer delivery and interaction
• Accountable for delivery of new product backlog as business owner, from conception through to implementation phase, according to a mutually agreed priority based on achieving vision and key strategic objectives
• Responsible for new product proposals and business cases that are presented to both internal and external stakeholders, including procurement and investment committees
• Propose and own product development research and consultant budget
