Business Channel Analyst - Stellenbosch

Purpose of the Position:

To improve internal business processes and design and execute game changing incentives campaigns and promotions for South Africa alcohol industry

Key Performance Areas will include but not be limited to the following :

Merge brand objectives with trade/business objectives and execute large scale programs/campaigns via the sales force
Identify, investigate, validate & implement new shopper and customer promotional opportunities by attending events, visiting trade and collating data
Manage Budgets
Process Campaigns in SAP
Improve and optimise internal business processes
Liaise with Consumer Marketing Channel and Key Accounts Managers on promotional themes
Co-ordinate creative elements to themes
Develop the creative Point of Sale brief for suppliers
Management of promotional grids as per allocated channels
Arrange collaborative promotions for shopper reward cards, club cards and internet shopping
Setting up account specific POS innovation through the business
Evaluate shopper promotions and communicate results back to the business
Analyse and generate meaningful insights from numbers & data as well as market/qualitative info

The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

Tertiary qualification Degree in BSc Bus Sci, BSc Comp Sci, Bsc Eng, BSc Stats
At least 2 years of formal corporate experience in the FMCG/CPG sector
Trade Marketing experience advantageous
Excel skills- lookups, macro’s
Project Management skill advantageous
Financial skills and business acumen, Decision making and project management skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills
Ability to work in cross functional groups within the business unit
Results and goal orientated,
Attention to detail
Willingness to learn and make a difference
Must be able to travel locally
