Overall Purpose of the Job
To be at the centre of business with 360 degree awareness of the influences and interactions that are part of the company through strategic relationship development with key stakeholders, pipeline management, new business analysis and research, negotiation of distribution agreements. This role takes a product from a product idea or market opportunities to commercialisation.

To ensure the attainment of the best KPIs and to meet the strategic objectives of the Medical Department and the Company through the innovative support and training of both internal and external customers.

Education
Minimum – MBCHB, BCom or BSc
Ideal – MBCHB
Candidate must be proficient in Advanced MS Office.

Experience
3 Years relevant pharmaceutical experience

Position Description:

Research & Analysis: Conduct analysis on partners, companies and products in order to find out products available with different companies and to align the company strategically to secure that there are products in all stages of their life cycles. Prevent conflict of interests by eliminating duplication. Assessing market intelligence to establish whether the target molecule is viable.
Development & presentation of business cases: Collate market intelligence, internal and external feedback to establish comprehensive business case for approval by management. Presentation to potential suppliers with the company as the preferred partner.
Interaction with internal and external stakeholders: Acquiring information and providing feedback to all stakeholders with regards to ongoing business opportunities. Performing due diligence on opportunities.
Contract negotiations: Finalise and establish in a documented fashion the terms and conditions of the relationship (confidentiality, letters of intent, term sheets, licence, supply & distribution agreements, technical manufacturing & pharmacovigilence).
Provide medical and scientific support to the regulatory teams: Assisting, when required, with health authority and ethics submissions, and responses to queries. Assisting where required in presentations to doctors on medical issues. Providing strategic input into the evaluation of studies for South Africa and performing accurate feasibility assessments for clinical trials. Assisting in feasibilities for products for registration. Assisting in the clinical evaluation of data for submission to the health authority where required.
Product and therapeutic area/s expertise: Responses to customer & rep queries. Attending update sessions, seminars, conferences etc. Regular review of literature and dissemination of newly published, relevant papers and information on TA to the brand team(s).
Marketing and sales support: Contribute medical expertise and guidance to the marketing strategic planning process when applicable. Support marketing initiatives and ensure ethical standards are maintained. Customer presentation and feedback.
