The largest Corporate Risk and Insurance Broker in South Africa with an extensive network in Africa, is looking to grow their market share for long term (life) insurance by utilizing razor sharp sales techniques and adopting a hunter approach to sourcing new business. If you are effective at face-to-face client engagement and are driven by sales performance, this might be the role for you. This is not an inbound sales role and will require regular travel to clients / institutions, etc.
Minimum Education Requirements:
• Matric
• Minimum 2 years of Long Term Cat C Category experience is essential
• 120 NQF Level 5 FAIS credits (National wealth management certificate or Financial Planning)
• Post graduate and/or B.Com would be an advantage
• RE 5 Certificate

Minimum Experience:
• Proven sales track record in the financial industry with knowledge of individual risk benefits with pay slips as proof of previous commission earned.
• Sound sales and client service experience.
• A minimum 2 years sales experience preferably in the individual life industry.
• FAIS Compliance
• Strong presentation skills/telesales techniques

Job overview:
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate/s will convert leads and quotes into sales in terms of the minimum quantity and quality target. This target will include but not be limited to:
• Minimum monthly API and number of policies
• Average monthly premium
• Nett conversion rate quotes to policies
• Lapse ratios
• NTU ratios
• To ensure that you are up to date with all product changes or enhancements.
• Be compliant in all activities in accordance with FAIS requirements.
• To generate interest for other AF products or services. (Cross selling opportunities)
• To update and maintain your production stats on a weekly basis.
• To ensure that you are fully informed on competitor products and how they compare to our products.
• Meet all KPI’s as laid down by AF Life for BDC’s
• Maintain appropriate skills and knowledge to provide specialist, professional advice.
• Meet continuing professional development objectives required by the industry.
• Maintain required dress code and professional appearance
• The ideal candidate must be prepared to work in a competitive, result driven work environment
• Business travel will be required
