Business Development Consultant
Minimum requirements:
· Grade 12 essential
· 3-4 years sales experience essential
· MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential
· Freightware or similar system knowledge required
· Basic understanding of freight processes required
· Cold calling experience required
· Account management skills required
· Ability to conduct formal presentations essential

Responsibilities
· Prospecting new business
· Qualify potential clients ito requirements
· Keep abreast with competitor service offerings
· Market surveys
· Negotiate prices and credit terms
· Achieve sales targets
· Update leads on system
· Client queries, service and facilitate resolutions
· Weekly and monthly service call visitations
· Advise rate increases and processing procedural changes
· Quote on business
· Prepare and submit weekly and monthly new business reports
· Monitor credit applications
· Prepare proposals for Sales Manager’s approval
