An IT Company based in Woodmead, needs to appoint a Business Development Manager for their Services Department.

Responsible for building and developing business opportunities and revenue producing contracts on backup stock and vendor based services products, includes technical support with both existing and new clients.
Assumes responsibility for building and developing new revenue opportunities for designated products & services with new and existing Resellers.
Manages, promotes and sells backup stock and technical support products.
Identifies and pursues sales opportunities, makes client presentations, prospects new business relationships and obtains client contracts and relationships.
Focuses on reseller development through enablement, training, business planning, visits and meetings.
Works together with sales and product manager to develop new opportunities.
Coordinates closely with other departmetns to ensure that services are delivered withing scheduled deadlines.
Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products and competitors to support the identification of business development opportunities.
Initiates and closes only those sales opportunities which profitably balance client expectations with specific benefits of Company deliverables.

Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional relations with all customers and vendor.
Reports to Vendor on key successes and lost business.
Attends all planning meetings.
Ensures that customers are well informed through continual feedback and communication.
Promotes goodwill and a positive image of WestconComztek.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel and Senior Management.
Provides weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts where necessary.
Executes objectives as set on a quarterly basis.
Works closely with the BU and other departments to ensure well coordinated operations.
Acts as a resource and support to other Comztek team members.
Obtains and conveys information as needed.
Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns.
Attends and participates in meetings as assigned.
Completes records, reports and documents as required.
Conducts & coordinates internal telesales training and certification.

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or
assigned.
Stays informed of industry, market, and product trends.
Attends product training as requested.
Attends professional meetings and trade seminars.
Completes special projects as assigned.
Any reasonable and lawful instruction related to work and given by an authorised person.
Matric
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Excellent knowledge of designated products.
Knowledge of the competitive environment and industry issues.
Strong understanding of product sales and take to market systems.
Knowledge of customer service and support processes.

2 or more years of related business development and sales experience.
Must have experience in networking and technical services products.
Proven successful track record.
