Our well know automotive client is looking to employ a BDM Sales/Operations to join their team.

Position Overview The Business Development Manager is a key stakeholder in the management of the relationship between head office and the retail dealer network. The business development manager holds a portfolio of dealerships determined by the General Manager of Sales and Operations for which they are accountable to communicate, manage and assist regarding sales, operations, marketing, stock, finance, training and other head office related functions which effect the client business objectives within the South African market place. The business development manager will be expected to physically visit each of the dealerships within their portfolio a minimum of once a quarter in order to provide value to the businesses at retail level and to drive sales and brand objectives.

Specific Role Responsibilities • Monthly Analysis of Sales and market related data.
• Reconciliation of sales and market data.
• Monthly dealer visits and reporting on dealer activities.
• Management and assistance of dealership marketing and brand activities.
• Management, monitoring and assistance for dealerships CRM and activity management.
• Own and develop relationships with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our retail experience provided at dealer level.
• Co-ordination, management, planning and assistance of client HQ and departmental events, programs, meetings and other related functions.
• Resolution of dealer queries regarding stock, promotions, client programs, marketing activities and business operations.
• Management of retail and brand CI, facilities and brand image at retail level.
• Monitoring, analysis and recommendations regarding dealerships retail customer experience.
• Communication where necessary of key insights and findings to sales, marketing and product teams.
• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve sales and operations, discover issues and deliver better value to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Presentations and feedback reporting to regional directors and key stakeholders when called upon to do so.
• Facilitate communications between dealerships and head office where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience
• Previous experience in Business / operations management.
• A degree: BComm
• Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft excel
• Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
