Business Development Manager Location: Stellenbosch
Salary: R850k per annum (retainer + profit share)
Requirements:- Financial background (B.Com or equivalent)
- Business Development experience
- Minimum of 5 years in developing business/sales/sales management for small to medium sized, high growth business
Purpose of the Role:- Grow business from a R50 million+ asset base of media/property and travel assets.
- These include:
- Marketing Brand - interactive media business with a 17 year track record and R2,5 million invested in product/team development over the past 4 years, to adapt to market changes.
- Private Villa in Stellenbosch
- New Villa on Clifton 4th
- Travel Company (50% investment)
Responsibilities:
- Ability to optimise value from asset portfolio, accountability for agreed targets, identify opportunities with CEO
- Develop strategic client relationships, develop resources (internal team, strategic network of tour operators/media agencies/strategic partnerships)
- Simplify business processes and build sustainable business value in line with core values agreed with CEO.
- Review the business potential with CEO/team and current resource base and present plan to CEO within 30 days of action plan to align resources to business potential.
- This includes a review of existing client base, current team activity to attract business and customer research, which includes meeting with 10-15 key accounts, to identify current status.
- The position will require long hours (12 hour days) to fast-track understanding of the business
- An ability to translate the shareholders vision into business reality
- The ability to interact with shareholders and strategic clients
- Proactive in developing action plans to achieve a 50%+ growth in business from R3 – R5 million in Gross Profit over 12- 18 months.
Targets:
- QTR 1: R750 000
- QTR 2: R1 MILILON
- QTR 3: R1,5 MILION
