Collaborative Careers are assisting a leading manufacturer of outdoor power products to recruit for an Area Business Manager to effectively manage the dealer business within the Mpumalanga/Limpopo area to ensure that sales and growth strategies are implemented successfully to secure future company growth.
The ideal candidate will meet all of the requirements below, have a strong technical background, experience working with dealer channels as well as strong business acumen ( finance)

Key Requirements:
• A business related degree or diploma;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales environment at a senior level (understanding of a dealer based distribution method is preferable);
• Strong commercial acumen coupled with a strategic and analytical approach;
• High level of competency in Microsoft Office and a fair understanding of IT systems and applications;
• Good communication, customer and staff relationship management skills;
• Pro-active, responsive and ability to meet deadlines and deliver results with passion and a sense of urgency;
• Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail;
• Good time management and organizational skills;
• Flexible work schedule and a willingness to travel as and when required;
• Active contributor to positive team culture;
• Valid driver’s license and passport

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to :

•Develop annual sales and growth strategies using comprehensive market intelligence and competitor analysis that focus on meeting ongoing/changing business needs of the dealer network within the designated area
•Implement a strong sales focus on all group brands and product categories
•Strong focus on the implementation of the company’s Business Model
•Meet monthly and quarterly reporting requirements as specified by the company. Conduct regular and formalized business analysis including key dealers & product line performance reviews
•Contribute to the development of strategic plans and establish a regular review process to measure and report progress against the plan
•Nurture existing customer relations and explore the development of new customers. Provide special emphasis on the development of long term sustainable partnerships with key dealers
•Ensure an intimate knowledge of all products within the dealer portfolio is maintained and continuously developed
•Working closely with the Marketing Manager, assist with establishing the marketing needs of each dealer within the territory
•Assist debtors in the management of dealer accounts within the territory The Area Business Manager - Dealer Channel shall act at all times in accordance with their duty of care and loyalty to the Company
