Business Development Manager (Life Insurance & Investment Products) Location: Gauteng Salary: R950k pa CTC (Excellent Benefits & Performance Bonus)

Job Summary:

Seeking successful Business Development Manager with strong experience and an outstanding record in sales management in the Life Insurance and Wealth Management sector to take on the role of acquiring and developing investment strong Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) practices in the market. Thereafter the requirement would be to support, develop and grow these practices within the group.

Role Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute Company strategy
• Source, recruit and on-board new IFA’s
• Undertake IFA’s development
• Undertake IFA practice management
• Support and drive business growth
• Facilitate smooth administrative processes and resolution of problems for IFA’s
• Budgets and expense management
• People Management (Business Administration Consultants)

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant financial/investment qualification (financial tertiary qualification)
• Extensive financial services experience in a marketing/sales environment
• Operational management/leadership of a team/unit
• 3–5 Years’ experience in a financial distribution environment, supporting and developing of intermediary (IFA) practices
• Technical knowledge related to retail investments and retail investment industry & trends
• Proven sales related success track record
• Proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook & PP, Lotus Notes, Spotlight-s & CRM tools
• Financial services industry knowledge
• Financial services investment product knowledge
• Legal technical knowledge,
• Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge (FAIS accredited)
• Budgets and expense management
• Leadership and management skills to manage staff
