Job Description: (Stellenbosch / Gauteng)

Identifying estate agents throughout the company’s areas of operation (currently Western Cape and Gauteng) that fit the company’s preferred profile;
Pitching the company’s products and services to those agents in order to recruit them to join the company as estate agents;
Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing estate agents;
Researching estate agencies and individual estate agents online (especially via property portals and social media channels) to identify new leads and potential new markets for the company to consider entering;
Utilizing the company’s existing network of agents in order to identify other suitable agents that may benefit from the company’s offering;
Building and keeping up to date a database of potential estate agents;
Contacting potential estate agents via email, social media or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings;
Planning and overseeing new marketing drives and initiatives;
Overseeing the development of marketing literature;
Attending conferences, training seminars, meetings and industry events;
Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales packs;
Meeting with potential agents and pitching them the company’s concept;
Regularly following up with estate agents previously seen;
Contacting estate agents to inform them of new developments in the company’s services;
Developing proposals;
Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email and in person;
Developing goals for your sales support team and ensuring they are met;
Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills;

Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a sales related field
A relevant marketing / business degree
A strong and proven record as a business development manager and or sales executive
A deep understanding of marketing principles
Previous experience and current connections within the real estate industry will be highly advantageous
Strong communication and IT fluency
Strong prospecting skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong closing skills
The ability to sell to the customers’ needs
Sales planning skills
Strong and well-developed market knowledge
Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
