Business Development Manager: Mining Sector


Excellent earning potential and career opportunity at an industry leader in the security sector. Solid experience in Business Development Management of any service to the mining industry is essential. Experience or keen interest in the security industry.

Expected to have the proven experience and knowledge required to lead in the creation and closure of new business opportunities.

Must have strong project and solutions management skills.

This requires that you be capable of understanding complex integrated security solution engagements.

The position requires the skills needed to win Sector trust and confidence and a thorough understanding of the competitor environment leading to the acceptance of new business proposals and retention and growth of existing customer contracts.

Must be familiar with contractual requirements and be capable of drafting, reviewing and approving responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP)

Ability to articulate industry leading solutions and bringing the right resources and expertise to the customer at the right time.

Manage and promote all marketing and sales events related to the Mining sector.

Acute understanding of the Mining charter, ED, SD and CSR requirements and the ability to engage with the local community.

Assist in the development of the annual budget and business plan for BPC’s Mining sector.

· Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

· Relevant experience and track record in the Mining Sector.

· Computer Literacy including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

· Excellent communication and strong customer focus.

· Strong negotiations and presentation skills.

· Own vehicle and driver’s license.

· Willing to travel within South Africa.

R50 000 - R70 000 neg on exp + Benefits + Commission

Benefits include: commission, cell phone, travel fuel allowance, medical aid, pension fund and performance bonus.
