BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST
MINIMUM SKILLS/EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (COMPETENCIES) :
• Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in commercial, financial or scientific field
• Modelling & forecasting experience advantageous
• Developed Financial Understanding
• Minimum of 5 years data - and or pharmaceutical experience.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical environment.
• Understanding of South African pharmaceutical data sources, and interpretation of such
• Advanced skills in Access, Excel, Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint
• Qlikview and/or other Business Intelligence tools – in-depth knowledge would be an added advantage
• Sales Force Excellence / Customer Relation Management experience advantageous

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
:
• To manage and co-ordinate specific internal business development projects that originate from within the group
• To track and analyze the market to identify suitable potential product, dossier and company acquisitions and in-licences, particularly, but not restricted to the OTC, oncology and generic arena
• To propose such acquisitions and in-licences based on the desk research
• To profile companies, track trends and identify opportunities
• To track local and regional tenders, to identify appropriate opportunities for growth
• Supporting of all Business Excellence functions as it relates to Digital initiatives, sales force excellence, business intelligence projects, distance learning initiative
• Active driver, coordinator of innovation projects
• Optimization of processes in Business Development & Business Excellence
• To participate in relevant task forces and ad hoc projects to ensure optimal business outcomes
