This individual will form part of the business reporting team in the group and be responsible for delivery of business reporting requirements in a fast and accurate yet methodical and standardised way.

Responsibilities will include requirements gathering and analysis, designs, data source mapping, overseeing development, end user testing, training, implementation and support across the group.

Responsibilities:

• Report requirement interviews with end users and analysis of requirements and report design specifications;
• Standardise report definitions and reports for all user across the entire group, to ensure single version of the truth and reporting efficiencies;
• Map end user requirements to reporting objects including gap analysis and suggested development through use of accurate design specifications;
• Continued data flow analysis to ensure fast yet sustainable rollout of reports and reporting architectures;
• Facilitation with BI developers to ensure reports are developed according to specifications;
• Facilitation with end users and business analysts to create reporting test plans and facilitate and perform reports integration testing and end user acceptance testing;
• End user training and facilitating the entire project from report requirement interviews to end user adoption;
• End user support in the production environment;
• Source systems design specifications for reporting purposes;
• Reporting projects as required by the group.

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Commerce, Computer Science or Information systems;
• Programming background will be an advantage;
• BI certification will be an advantage;
• Microsoft BI experience will be an advantage;
• Database knowledge or experience will be a plus;
• Data warehouses and transactional reporting implementation experience;
• Design and delivery of business reports and dashboards;
• Reports implementation in a manufacturing environment and/or printing industry will be an advantage;
• Full development life cycle with reporting end users and BI developers;
• Experience working in a structured project related reporting environment;
• Integrated understanding of business processes in a manufacturing environment;
• Excellent knowledge and skills in MS office, especially excel;
• Communicate with key business users on all levels of management;
• Communication skills including listening, understanding, interpretation, feedback, writing;
• Conflict resolution and negotiation skills;
• Analytical ability and problem solving skills;
• Understanding of data warehouse and data modelling;
• Basic SQL will be an advantage;
• Business analysis in a business reporting environment;
• Interpret and translate end user requirements into specifications;
• Map reporting fields to source fields in transactional and BI systems;
• Good understanding of data warehousing models and concepts;
• Classification of reports by nature of real-time, near real time, analytical, operational;
• Motivated individual, a fast learner and a self-starter;
• Service delivery oriented;
• Project management approach;
• Ability to plan and drive the project to completion
