Business Intelligence Developer – Bryanston
 
The business intelligence (BI) developer is responsible for extracting, transforming and loading data from various sources into an efficient data warehouse
 
Duties:

• Development of the BI solution includes the design and development of the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL’s) modules
• Creating and deploying reports
• Responsible for designing and building online analytical processing (OLAP)
• Data expert with a strong background in computer science and programming
• Requirements gathering from which the planning and designing of the solution follows
• The design and development of the cubes, design and development of queries and reports and the deployment thereof
• Multidimensional and relational databases
• Data mining algorithms and create and design tables
• Also handle issues that might affect users
• Development and maintenance of existing AX cubes
• Development of Microsoft Dynamics (AX) reports
• MS SQL Server Reporting

 
Qualifications and experience

• IT Degree or Diploma
• Certifications an advantage
• Data analysis and modelling skills
• Advanced level skills with SQL and MDX query languages
• General query debugging techniques
• SSAS and SSRS
• SSIS (ETL Packages)
• Basic C# skills
• Web services
• SDLC concepts (programming methodologies, version control)
• ERP systems
• Data Analysis & modelling
• Data warehousing and dashboard design and coding skills
• SQL Server 2008r2, 2012
• SQL and MDX query languages
• C# , Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)  and Dynamics AX beneficial
• Degree in Business Systems, computing or related field, or combination of education and experience is necessary
