My client is a large meat distribution company.

The person they appoint to this position will oversee the retail side of the meat operation and a new initiative ie. Fish production/packing plant, based in City Deep.

The successful candidate:
Must have retail butchery experience, and a knowledge of cold store/refrigeration.
Own transport is a must
Ability to work a 10 hour shift
Clean criminal record
Rotational weekend shifts
Store leadership/management skills
Assertive
Have a “own the branch” income statement/profit and loss account.
Able to work under pressure in a tough environment, sevicing customers from the rural areas and surrounding African customers, who come to buy in bulk. A large proportion of customers come from the DRC.

Salary is pegged at R18 - R20k negotiable.
