Manufacturers of cleaning equipment and supplies – looking for a (Local Parts) Buyer, with min 3 years buying & planner experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION: To successfully manage the stock purchasing for the Johannesburg branch and to provide support to the other branches nationally.

JOB SPECIFICATION:
The following Key Performance Areas are covered by this position.
1. Planner exposure
2. Source the correct products (locally) at the right time and price - in line with approved requests, the business plan and predicted stock levels.
3. Monitor stock levels - Ensuring stock levels are correct at all times. Communicate and agree on the need for new products. Report on dead / slow moving stock. Manage stock availability – as per product forecast (product mix)
4. Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers, while seeking new ones - Create supplier orders. Negotiate supplier prices. Update supplier contract prices.
5. Forecasting trends, systems
6. Analytical mind, think like a Planner
7. Confident, able to enforce own opinion

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Matric + relevant qualifications (Certificate / Diploma)
• Fluent in English & Afrikaans
• Valid Driver’s Licence & own reliable transport.
• Computer literacy – MS Office / Excel Spreadsheets
• Min 3 years’ - buying experience
• Accountable, Responsible and Reliable.

SALARY: R23-25 000 pm CTC – negotiable with the experience
