A formal qualification in Purchasing or Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an automotive procurement environment. You must have a solid understanding of procurement and costing principles related to the sourcing of components for new programs. Engineering knowledge is an advantage. Must have sound communication and negotiation skills and intermediate to advanced Word, Excel, Powerpoint and SAP. Sound knowledge of the APQP and PPAP process and the ability to read and interpret a technical drawing. A good understanding of automotive quality management systems and project management skills.
You will represent Supply Chain management in Customer program management and engineering changes and act as Program manager for procurement including APQP and cost management. You will establish and maintain commercial agreements with suppliers etc.
