We are looking for experienced Buyers with 3-5 yearsâ?? experience in the category of Homeware to be based in Cape Town.

The eCommerce Buyer is responsible for all merchandising activities. This role will be responsible for the development and execution of merchandise plans including assortment planning, supplier relationships, product procurement, pricing negotiations, promotional strategies, managing OTB and stock turn to drive revenue growth and achieve all financial targets.

DUTIES include:

  Formulate strategy & build tactical plan to deliver Department Targets

  
  


• 
  

  Meet and / or exceed the defined financial performance metrics: Sales, Margin, OTB, Stockturn, Managing availability, SLA’s

  
  


• 
  

  Define assortment strategy through, but not limited to, trends & e-commerce behavior analysis

  
  


• 
  

  Build & foster supplier relationships

  
  


• 
  

  Negotiate all buying terms with suppliers

  
  


• 
  

  Develop promotional program with the Marketing department & maintain on-site merchandising

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain industry expertise through, but not limited to, strong supplier relationships and competitor analysis

  
  


• 
  

  Provide leadership and guidance to Department Buying team

  
  


• 
  

  Drive operational excellence & execution in Department Buying team
