BUYER (Maintenance & Equipment)

Our client based in the Vaal Triangle needs a person for a 3 month contract
Candidate must be residing in the Vaal

Contract Duration: 3 Months
Only EE candidates only

Requirements:
Grade 12
Diploma in Purchasing / Logistics
Minimum 1 year working experience in procurement
Technical knowledge of maintenance, service and equipment
Good negotiation skills
SYSPRO / SAP experience is advantageous

Job Description:
• Preparation & issue of purchase orders for products and services that are used for maintenance and repair
• Obtain quotes and negotiate pricing with vendors in accordance with the procurement policy
• Work closely with maintenance & engineering department
• Local and international sourcing, analysis and proposing alternative sources of supply & contractors
• Process purchase orders for all maintenance as per job cards and CAPEX/ project orders.
• Ensure company objectives are met through responsible purchasing through BBBEE accredited suppliers
• Continuous supplier evaluation and analysis of spend with the objective of cost saving
• Evaluate suppliers and manage relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
• Reduce cost by maintaining existing machines
• Foster team work by advising internal customers about purchasing, sourcing etc.
