Leader in the development, manufacture and installation of parking access and revenue control systems is looking to hire a Buyer to assist the Project Manager to ensure the availability of all required parts, materials and equipment for the successful installation of new projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for buying (40%)obtaining competitive and reasonable quotes, liaison with suppliers regarding lead times, stock availability and delivery schedules. Maintain and update supplier database, review catalogues, industrial periodicals, directories and trade journals.
Responsibilities will also include (60%) ensuring that the procurement process is followed and that all necessary documentation is processed for all purchases, updating internal clients on progress of purchases, delivery schedules, allocation of materials per site etc.
A high degree of detail orientation, well-developed planning and coordinating skills is a strict requirement.
Tertiary qualification in Project Management/Procurement Management as well as a minimum of 5 years sound experience required.
