Candidate with Purchasing qualification (Certificate or Diploma), and minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a Buyer position, dealing specifically with raw material, required to procure raw materials and ensure best quality product and correct quantities are delivered timeously.

Minimum requirements:
• Purchasing qualification required – certificate/diploma, etc
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Buyer essential
• Previous experience in procurement of raw materials for manufacturing preferred
• Syspro experience preferred
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Own transport and license essential

Responsibilities:
• Procure raw materials
• Calculate optimum order quantity and place order – follow up with Suppliers re overdue orders
• Place non-stock orders for research and development projects
• Process orders, checking stock holding, cancel lines, dates and pricing
• Run daily report on Syspro of material requirement planning and replenish stock
• Capture daily requisitions received from production
• Place orders for satellite stores
• Liaise with clearing agents and shipping lines
• Track all shipments
• Arrange urgent airfreights
• Ensure clearing agents have all required documents for import purposes
• Place online import orders
• Communication with all suppliers
• Communicate all supplier information to Procurement Department and update details
• Ensure all document and changes are auctioned by deleting and adding parts on relevant orders
• Establish obsolete items within production
• Liaise with Design and Technical Engineering Department on new parts
• Liaise with Quality Control Department on all rejected parts
• Invoice verification
• Create Excel order reports for Logistics Manager and Suppliers
