BUYER
for Manufacturing Environment – West Rand

SALARY: R18 000 pm CTC – negotiable with the experience

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Matric + qualification in Procurement theory
• Valid Driver’s Licence & own reliable transport.
• Computer literacy – SYSPRO (Purchasing knowledge) & MS Excel (basic)
• Min 5 years’ experience – procurement in appliance industry / small electrical parts
• Very good supplier communication / negotiator / persuasive
• Quick to learn / “think of its feet”

DUTIES
• Create purchase orders – on Syspro
• Create subcontract jobs – on Syspro
• Ensure all purchase orders are – authorized by the Departmental Manager
• Ensure all purchase orders are – sent to the supplier & confirmed
• Expedite orders daily.
? Using the Purchase Order / Back Order Report, as well as the Daily Trial kits for stock required in production
• Amend the due dates – on Syspro, to ensure that all purchase order due dates are always up to date
• Submit daily feedback on backorders to the Departmental Manager
• Negotiate supplier contract prices
• Update supplier contract prices – on Syspro
• Any other work assigned to you by your direct Manager
