Leading Manufacturing Concern is currently seeking to employ an experienced Buyer. You will need to have good negotiating skills and able to build and maintain relationships.
Requirements:
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree or technical college qualification (Marketing / Purchasing)
• 3 years relevant experience in PURCHASING, IMPORTS, EXPORTS and CONSUMABLES
• Knowledge and understanding of quality processes
• Knowledge of SAP
Duties will include, but aren’t limited to:
• Obtain and source providers for materials
• Evaluate prices of materials and submit price to various departments
• Determine the Financial provisions
• Maintain, monitor and inform the various parties on the delivery dates from suppliers
• Planning orders and purchases
• Monitor national and foreign market price movements
• Promote and develop sound relations with suppliers
• Controlling purchasing Request forms
• Organise transportation of foreign materials
• Report monthly purchase activities
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
