What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

* Manage 4 person buying department
* Purchasing of electronic components, plastics, molds, explosives, chemicals
* Purchasing of custom machined metal parts (Drawings)
* Purchase of custom assembled electronic pcbs (According to company specification)
* Vendor management
* Expediting
* Purchasing project planning and management
* Ensure that inventory optimally managed
* New vendor onboarding and RFQ's
* Ensure manufacturing has what they need, when they need it, at the right price

Key Job Deliverables:

* To ensure raw materials are delivered at the right time, right place and at the right price
* To expedite key orders
* Outsourced vendor selection

Background work experience

* 10 years buying experience within manufacturing
* 5 years buying management experience
* 3 years exposure to mechanical and electrical parts and components
* Dip Purchasing and Supply Management or equivalent
* Buying within a manufacturing environment
* SYSPRO or other MRP
* Order volumes of R6 mill per month or more

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R420K to R600K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
