Duties and Responsibilities:
Developers in this team should ideally have working experience in UniVerse, or be willing to learn about the UniVerse programming language and database.
- Tertiary qualification in IT-related fields, including programming and database design
- At least four years programming experience
- Hands-on experience in database design
- Exposure to web-based financial transaction processing systems
- At least five years C#/ .Net/ SQL Server experience
- At least five years UniVerse experience
- In-depth understanding of the various phases in a software development life cycle
- Experience with in-depth testing
- Skilled in writing technical documentation
- Exposure to the financial services industry, specifically short-term insurance is an advantage
- Integration of a transaction processing system with third-party systems such as other transaction processing systems, premium calculation modules etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Developers in this team should ideally have working experience in UniVerse, or be willing to learn about the UniVerse programming language and database.
- Develop and maintain application software according to functional requirement specifications, processes and standards;
- Develop and maintain utilities;
- If requested, maintain the source-to-source translator and other third-party tools;
- Take part in the design of the database and software;
- Perform unit testing and hand over completed software to the QA team (“IAT”) for further testing, within agreed timeframes;
- Participate in general trouble-shooting of the software and the database;
- Update system documentation
