A great new opportunity has arisen with a great client, based in Stellenbosch for a C# Developer keen on furthering his/her experience in the financial services industry.
Duties:
• Obtain technical knowledge related to the service orientated applications environments
• Develop major enhancements for SOA in the production environment according to the technical specifications.
• Develop new products against business requirements and high-level technical specifications
• Develop relational database systems and web interfaces
• Fix major and minor bugs for SOA in the production environment
• Fix escalated bugs for existing SOA in the production environment
• Perform unit and integration testing on existing environments and new developments
• Provide testing assistance to developer(s)
• Update/amend test plans according to solution development to ensure coverage of all areas
• Provide implementation instructions for new development
• Provide support to the Development/QA/Production environment(s) with regards to the integration between internal systems and applications and external service providers (i.e. Credit Bureaux)
• Provide first-line support on SOA according to stand-by roster
Requirements:
• Grade 12
• A relevant IT qualification with 2 years’ proven development experience
• Experience in the following:
• C# or VB.Net
• SQL (Any platform)
• Must have detailed knowledge of:
• IT systems development processes (SDLC)
• Application development
• Standards and governance
• Testing practices
