THE COMPANY:

C# skills are needed in a number of areas, mainly in connection with integrating systems with various third-party systems but also in connection with special projects. One example of a special project is Websure.Net project which refers to the migration of UniVerse technology to C# and SQL Server

THE POSITION:

We’re looking for top calibre candidates with min of 3 years C# Development Managerial Experience and must be willing to Occasional work overtime and weekends, open plan office and travel to Gauteng-based business partners.

THE LOCATION:

We’re looking for ideal candidates to join their Head office which is located in the Centurion/Midrand area.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Post-matrix education with subjects related to software development
• MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer)
• Tertiary qualification in IT-related fields, including programming and database design;
• Good academic record
• At least two years in-depth programming experience with C# .NET.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server;
• In-depth knowledge of XML and web services
• Exposure to web-based financial transaction processing systems.
• Exposure to the financial services industry, specifically short-term insurance.
• Integration of a transaction processing system with third-party systems such as other transaction processing systems, premium calculation modules etc.
• Basic understanding of the various phases of a software development life cycle.
• Good appreciation of software design principles, practices and patterns
• Structured approach to software development.
• Experience with in-depth testing.
• Ability to “see the bigger picture”, i.e. appreciate the business context in which the software will be deployed
• Skilled in writing technical documentation.
• Good knowledge of information security principles and practices
