Job Title: C&I Technician
Location: Koffiefontein
Closing Date: 10 August 2015

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent will be responsible for maintenance, improvement and production efficiency related activities of the control and instrumentation discipline in the underground section.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, calibrate, diagnose faults and do repairs on industrial instrumentation and control equipment
Maintain Allen Bradley PLC hardware and software as well as the Wonderware Intouch SCADA System
Maintain Industrial Ethernet network, telephone system and PDS system
Plan and execute extensions and modifications to existing C&I Infrastructure
Maintain instrumentation documentation
Perform standby duties and shift work as and when required
Ensure personal and co-worker’s adherence and compliance to security and company’s SHE objectives
Maintain and support of Underground Draw Control System

Minimum Requirements:

Relevant Trade Test Certificate and N6 with Instrumentation and Process Control, OR S4 & P2 Process Control Diploma or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Sound knowledge of industrial instrumentation and industrial networks
Sound of Allen Bradley PLC hardware and software including DeviceNet – please indicate on CV
Knowledge of Wonderware Intouch SCADA software – please indicate on CV
Valid Driver’s License (EB)

Other Skills/Competencies:

Experience in trackless automation environment
Experience in underground communication systems
Sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English
Sound process instrumentation fault finding skills
Ability to work in a team
