Web Developer – C#
Location: Boksburg, Gauteng
Salary: R25k per month negotiable plus Pension & Medical Aid
 
Purpose of the Role:
Develop and maintain websites, back-end IT systems and processes. Design, code, test and implement changes to the website to meet both functional and technical requirements.
The Web Developer works with Marketing Managers to ensure that the brands’ digital presence is fully optimised to generate leads and build the brand.
 
Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience
• Passion for web development primarily with:
• C# .Net 3.5+ (required)
• SQL Server 2008/2012 (required)
• JSON (required)
• Web services (required)
• ASP.Net (web forms) (required)
• HTML5
• CSS/CSS3 (required)

Other requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that knowledge of development language remains high and up-to-date
• Maintaining and developing all websites/pages in line with the company and brand strategies
• Fully optimising website/pages for SEO purposes
• Tracking and keeping a record of the website(s) administration and payments
• Liaising with the sales teams to ensure relevant and accurate content is portrayed at all times
• Researching and recommending new innovations for the digital space
• Assisting your marketing team with any miscellaneous tasks that take priority unexpectedly
• Regular trouble shooting and testing of websites to ensure the best functionality
• Researching competitor, client and market behaviours on a quarterly basis to ensure that the brand in relevant and current in the market
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as: reading the relevant market news and other marketing and branding publications
• New project development
• New technologies discovered and introduced to business
• Assimilates business requirements and formulates development solution
• Ensuring that the website and internal systems have maximum uptime
• Bug and error resolution
• Take ownership of projects assigned to him/her and liaise with the marketing team
