Small, independent asset manager is looking for a New CA to join their team.

The new team member will work in a flat structure and must be prepared to take on different functions as the business develops and provide support to the CEO.

A qualified CA will be given preference, but a minimum of 3 years accounting experience is required, ability to learn new skills, works accurately, is well spoken, numerate and able to spell correctly. Interest in asset management industry, interest in regulation, ability to work independently and be a team player, ability to work in a very quiet environment and in a small team.

The duties will include:

Monthly management accounts, preparation of invoices, loading banking payments, SARS tax filings, Dept of Labour tax filings

Preparation of Companies Financial Statements

Daily and monthly fund accounting processes

Processing of trades

Opening new fund accounts

Liaise with Compliance officer, FICA, Anti money laundering

Office management

The perfect candidate would be someone who has experience in accounting and can prepare financial statements ready to be audited and has experience with SARS taxation and Dept of Labour levies and knows how to file returns.
