Our client based in Cape Town is searching for an experienced professional who will be required to perform draughting functions for engineering services The successful incumbent will use AutoCAD and REVIT to detail mechanical systems from rough or general design drawings insert details complete equipment schedules and other information necessary to make detailed drawings clear and complete Attention to detail is critical and a level of understanding of mechanical components and systems will be an advantage

Duties and responsibilities
Work with a team of engineers on multidisciplinary engineering projects
Design and drafting of CAD drawings for mechanical engineering services to standards
Coordination of engineering services
Manipulate/translate various digital file formats in order to create useable CAD/Revit drawings
Working with client FTP sites to download CAD drawings and Revit models together with project deliverable uploads
Will work closely with Project Manager and Lead Revit/CAD specialist to review and meet project goals
Assist in Revit development
Acquiring models and information from suppliers and ensuring the 3D components comply with the technical engineering specifications
Obtain information of a more general nature from suppliers and perform introductory engineering tasks such as pump selections and obtaining quotations
Actively keep abreast of current trends in CAD / Revit developments

Requirements
National Diploma/ Degree or related qualification
Minimum 1 years&rsquo experience working in a CAD office on AutoCAD and Revit up to latest version
Experience in drafting of mechanical services
Excellent Revit and CAD drafting skills and drawing aesthetics
Proficiency in Navisworks a plus
Understanding of basic drawing setup modelling technique and general knowledge of drafting standards
Ability to quickly absorb and utilise company specific techniques standards and procedures
